SISTER POP DUO TO BECOME INDEPENDENT ARTISTS
Singers and actresses Aly and AJ, now known as 78violet have announced today (Friday) that they have been officially released from their recording contract with Hollywood records and are free to become independent artists. In a statement released to fans today the famous teen pop duo wrote:
"Now we have the freedom to take 78violet in the direction we want. We're writing and recording new music and are really excited on what's next.
So...what is next? As for the album we recorded for Hollywood, honestly, we don't foresee it ever being released. But...we are continuing to write and record new songs that we hope you'll love as much as we do." Aly and AJ said.
The duo haven't released an album since their 2007 record "Insomniatic". Meanwhile their label Hollywood records have released about 5 Miley Cyrus CDs and 3 Jonas Brothers CDs. Apparently Aly & AJ (78violet) and the label couldn't agree on when to release the album they had just recorded this past year. The new CD was gonna be more of a rock sound for Aly and AJ. Their first 3 albums were more of a kids pop sound. This was gonna be a big change of direction musically for the girls. So the duo's management and Hollywood decided to part ways.

Check out the brand new record label for Tween artists SUGAR FILLY RECORDS , a part of the worldwide Dead Famous artists music corporation. The first artist they have signed to the label is 15 year old pop singer Amelia Bloom from Australia. Sugar Filly Records - Biography
The DEAD Famous International team is proud to announce the launch of a brand new all female Pop/Rock label in the United States. Sugar Filly Records was born out of a need to find homes for a number of very talented Teen and Tween style artists and is the main focus of a new joint venture between the Alpha Music Group and its new Artist Development Platform based in New York and DEAD Famous Artist Management headed up by its CEO, Michael Puskas and based in Australia.
The plan was to create a strong creative bridge between the US and Australia and find, develop, sign and release young female pop/rock artists with a view to non exclusively releasing and distributing the artists via an established physical and digital distribution platform. The label will use the somewhat exclusive services of MGM Distribution for all physical releases in Aust, New Zealand, Japan and China and Music OZ Distribution for all Digital releases which includes premium positioning with iTunes and Bigpond Music as well as a direct affiliation with the Hot A/C Radio Network, Austereo...among other notable carriers.
Artists that enter the AMG 10 Month Development program will receive an INDUSTRY SEAL OF APPROVAL and then be signed to the Sugar Filly label to produce that artists frirst release into the market. Based on the success of that initial release the Artist and the label will then work closely together to package and pitch the artist to US Majors and the larger Indies with a view to securing them a long term home. By then using the combined resources of the NEW label and the already established viral marketing platform and FAN generation base stimulated by the labels affiliation with such market mainstays as, Reverbnation, Our Stage, KCIA Indie, Number One Music and Jango Radio the Artist will have the perfect marketing strategy to really impact the market place.
The final all important touch is the focus the label will have on third party licensing options for the Artist's material to established film, television and advertising platforms with Warner Bros Film and TV, E Entertainment, CBS / Fox, Beuna Vista Home Video, Fox Sports, Fremantle Media, AVE Productions, Music Supervisor.com, Majors Music, Pump Audio etc. By gaining strong visibility in a myriad of media vehicles the Artist will have a chance to gain mass media exposure, generating further exposure, stimulating sales and creating a welcome need for touring and live support and this is what the DIY nature of the NEW Music Industry is all about. This is our main audio stream that we started in May of 2008. It has the current hits of most of the major label tween pop artists. This stream is only available in the USA and Canada due to copyright issues. This media player works best with Firefox or Safari web browsers. How to listen to Tween Pop radio anywhere!
Now you can listen to Tween pop radio in your car or anywhere you go. Here's how:
What you do is record Tween pop radio from the computer to a cassette deck. Then you take the cassette and play it in the car or a portable cassette player to play anywhere!
All you do is get an adapter cord from Radio Shack. It has one mini plug at one end and two standard stereo plugs at the other end. Take the 2 stereo plugs and plug them into the "line in" jacks on the back of your cassette deck. Plug the mini plug into the speaker or headphone jack on your computer. Hit play/record on your cassette deck then play Tween pop radio.
So now you don't have to listen to Tween pop just on the computer, you can listen anywhere! I do this alot and it sounds great in the car or on a portable cassette player.
